1833 = Nasce a Camogli

1871 = Comanda il "Grimaldo", piccolo Brigantino ed effettua viaggi per l'India via Buona Speranza, poi il Mediterraneo e l'Irlanda

- In Irlanda, riceve la proposta, per un nolo, di andare alle isole Hawaii, mai toccate da veliero italiano e delle quali non si disponeva di carte sicure

- Parte e, via Capo Horn", raggiunge, dopo 160 giorni di mare senza sosta, la baia di Honolulu

1872 = Quando arrivò a Camogli il telegramma di quel sensazionale approdo, l'evento fu celebrato in maniera trionfale non solo nella nostra città, ma in tutta Italia

- Cap. Repetto fu ricevuto in pompa magna dal Re delle isole, Kamekameda e onorato per diversi giorni

- Il "Grimaldo" ripartì, dirigendo nuovamente per Capo Horn

1873 = Cap. Repetto ritorna a Camogli, acclamato dalla popolazione e dalle Autorità

1878 = sul "Pellegra Madre", mentre risaliva l'Argentina, si fece legare al timone per salvare la nave al cattivo tempo. Rimase invalido ad una gamba. Dopo Camogli, abitò a Milano, dove morì nel 1913.

1833 = He is born at Camogli

1871 = He is in command of the "Grimaldo", a small brig; he sails to India, Mediterranean and Ireland

- In Irland, he gets the proposal for a charter to the Hawaiian Islands; there, no sailing ships had called yet and no safe navigation charts were available

- He departs, via Capo Horn" and, after 160 days at "full" sea, he anchors at Honolulu Bay

1872 = When the telegram of that sensational event arrived at Camogli, not only our Town, but whole Italy greeted entusiastically that brave Captain

- Cap. Repetto visited the Court of King Kamekameda at Honolulu and he was welcome by all the people of the islands.

- After a few days, the "Grimaldo" left, heading again towards Cape Horn

1873 = Capt. Repetto returns to Camogli, cheered and welcome by the community and the local authorities

1878 = On board the "Pellegra Madre", sailing up the argentinian coast, he tied himself up to the rudder wheel so as to save the ship from a storm. He was injured to a leg for the rest of his lfe. After camogli, he lived at Milan, where he died on 1913.
